ASEAN inaugurates its ACB headquarter

In line with its upcoming 50th anniversary, the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) has inducted its ASEAN Center for Biodiversity (ACB) building in the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Laguna last July 29, 2017.
Vongthep Arthakaivalvatee, Deputy Secretary General of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community, said in an interview that the ACB building will serve as coordinating center for biodiversity conservation.
Also highlighted in the event was the ceremonial signing of Biodiversity Conservation and Management of Protected Areas in ASEAN, a five-year program between ASEAN and European Union (EU) that targets the enhancement of biodiversity conservation as well as bringing improvement on the management of protected areas in ASEAN community.
