Flames and LGBT participate in HIV/AIDS Symposium
Medical courses, College of Arts and Sciences, and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community joined the HIV/AIDS Symposium in PHINMA-University of Pangasinan Fidel V. Ramos Library last June 23, 2017.
Different HIV cases were discussed during the symposium. Based on the data provided by the Department of Health Region I, Pangasinan has the highest recorded number of HIV/AIDS cases particularly in Dagupan City, San Carlos City, and Urdaneta City.
According to DOH-PCPD M & E Coordinator and Speaker Raymark Perreras, the main objective of the program was to lessen the increasing number of reported persons with HIV/AIDS and at the same time to raise awareness in the prevention of the said health issue.
The said symposium was in coordination of DOH Region I and Philippine Center for Population & Development Incorporated.
