MYK delivers 21 resolutions

Twenty-one resolutions were passed by the Manlingkor Ya Kalangweran council on June 19, 2017 at the Dagupan City museum.

Young city councilor Dianne T. Prado authored two resolutions: Draft Resolution No. R-5492 that aims to lessen the prevalence of vulnerable groups while at the same time increasing their benefits and Draft Resolution No. R-5493 that aims to impose good prices upon school and food products sold within school campuses.

Three resolutions were authored by Harmond A. Santos Jr. These are: Draft Resolution No. R-5494 that aims to lengthen the city clinic hours; Draft Resolution R-5498 that aims to impose free student transport system in the city; and Draft Resolution No.R-5495 that proposes the creation of slaughter house in the city.

Young Vice Mayor Marla Andreyana M. Ober authored two resolutions: Draft Resolution No. R-5496 that aims to fix all drainages in the city and Draft Resolution No. R-5497 that aims to include self- defense training for youth.

Tiffany Rose C. Cusi authored Draft Resolution No. R-5507 that grants Grade 1 to Grade 12 students with free textbooks and school supplies.

Maricris L. Callanta authored Draft Resolutions No. R-5505 that recommends reparation and replacement of broken school materials like dysfunctional chairs and tables on public schools. She also authored Draft Resolution No.R-5506 that grants public school classrooms with cabinets and bookshelves.

Ashley Dannielle R. dela Cruz authored Draft Resolution No. R-5500 that gives emphasis on the clearing operations needed to conduct to get rid of illegal sidewalk vendors and Draft Resolution R-5501 that implements curfew hours to children through punong barangays.

Joshua Resty V. Ulanday authored Draft Resolution No. R-5502 that aims to increase the number of signages specifically on school zones.

Echea Kristen E. Domingo authored Draft Resolution No. R-5503 that gives emphasis on the prohibition of students entering computer shops during class hours.

Elyza Jane E. Paraan authored Draft Resolution No. R-5504 that intensifies the grant of computer facilities to students, both private ad public schools, and the access to such facilities.

Young city mayor Jilian Kay Madison S. Fernandez authored two resolutions: Draft Resolutions No. R-5508 that aims to increase child protection policy against abusive teachers and Draft Resolution No.R-5509 giving the merit of announcements of school activities on school’s website and bulletins.

These proposed resolutions by the young city councilors were all adopted except for the resolution that grants the installation of public wifi inside school corners, as indicated in Draft Resolution No. R-5499 by Ed Ballesteros, due to the reason that students may abuse the usage of such request.
