PPH accommodates 29 dengue patients

On June 30, 2017, 29 patients of dengue were taken to Pangasinan Provincial Hospital in San Carlos City, Pangasinan.

According to Joe Pulintan, a pediatrician, in an interview: "The patients were 18-years old and below. They were so dehydrated and had a 3 to 5 days fever that led them to serious illness."

"Dengue is a debilitating viral disease of the tropics, transmitted by mosquitoes, and causing sudden fever and acute pains in the joints,” said Pulintan.

He also gave few tips to prevent dengue case as he said: “Here are some basic steps to prevent dengue in your family that I am going to share: Stay in air-conditioned or well-screened housing, wear protective clothing, use mosquito repellent, and reduce mosquito habitat.”
