King of low-brow comedy dies at 91

One of the famous American comedian and actor, Jerry Lewis, passed away at the age of 91 in Las Vegas on August 20.


According to New York Daily News, The Clark County Nevada Coroner found out that the cause of his death was ischemic cardiomyophaty which happens when the heart can no longer pump enough blood to the rest of the body due to coronary artery. In 2006, the comic icon suffered from heart attack and struggled with pulmonary fibrosis.


Candi Cazau, Lewis’ spokesperson, said on the telephone that Lewis had been hospitalized for a month for he was unable to travel and to appear in a film in Toronto Canada.


Lewis was known for his slapsticks in film, television, and radio. He was the highest paid star on the broadway.
