City of Alaminos indigenous senior citizens received 500 pesos each for food and medicines during their social pension payout on August 30, 2017 at Don Leopoldo Sison Convention Center.
Almost 1,500 pensioners in 39 barangays waited for the pay-out pension distribution. Pensioners were with old age, frail, sickly, and with disabilities who are not receiving any support from Social Security System (SSS), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), no permanent income and regular support from relatives.
According to Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) Chairman Lourdes de Leon, these senior alaminians must take care of themselves to endure the blessings given to them.
