In an interview with the College of Health and Sciences Student Council Governor Jovy Allene D. Rosas, a fourth year student in PHINMA-University of Pangasinan who is taking up Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science, being a leader is never an easy responsibility.
“To tell you honestly, there is always a battle inside me between being a student and a leader. Winning this position as a Governor of our college is such a big thing and great opportunity for me. Yes, it’s difficult. What’s funny was the idea that out of nowhere you’ll find yourself sitting in a corner and crying because you don’t know what to finish first but with the help of my co-officers such as RSO Presidents, my Vice Governor, Secretary, and others we can finish tasks as one family in a short period of time.”
As what the other leaders say, you must observe time management in order to balance the demands of being a leader, student, son to my parents, and of course, a good child of God. Now, I can totally say that I’m enjoying every second of my term and enjoying serving my fellow students in or out of our college. Before I end this, I want to share this bible verse that I always bring with me, Philippians 4:13 which says “I can do anything with Christ who strengthens me". Academics first and everything will follow,” he ended.
